High school enrollment

Dates of admission and entry requirements

The standard period for admission to a number of schools in the USA is from September to January-February, however, some schools accept students until the summer due to availability.

Required documents:

1. A number of top boarding schools require SSAT (Secondary School Admission Test) or TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language). In most of these schools, TOEFL scores should be around 100 points. Other schools often do not require such tests.

2. Report card.

3. Characteristics / letters of recommendation from teachers.

4. Interview with a school representative.

Cost of education

The cost of studying in private boarding schools varies from $ 25,000 to $ 40 (includes tuition, accommodation, meals, extracurricular activities, overseeing students during the program, assistance in solving all urgent problems, medical insurance).

* Tuition fees are paid per semester / trimester. Although in some cases, the payment system may vary.

How to choose a school for a child in the USA?

The choice of schools in the United States is huge, but only in one of them will your child study. When choosing a boarding school, parents usually pay attention to its location, the cost of training and the prestige of the institution. An important criterion for the selection of a school may be statistics on the receipt of its graduates in the most prestigious educational institutions. You can get detailed advice when choosing a school and full support when entering US educational institutions at the specialists of the Global Ambassador Center.

Opportunities for American Secondary Education

The American system of secondary education gives everyone equal opportunities, while it is understood that in order to fully reveal their potential, children must develop according to individual programs. There are 12 grades in high school in the USA. There is no system of planned indicators and “markups” for lagging children. Among other features of the US high school is the high computerization of school curricula.

Private boarding schools offered by us are elite schools that provide the best conditions for the education and permanent residence of their students. Such a school is ideal for preparing for admission to a prestigious university. In addition, boarding schools have all the opportunities for practicing various sports, music, arts and leisure activities. To enter a prestigious private school, you must pass the tests and pass an interview.

To this day, part of the boarding schools teach only boys or only girls. Most educational institutions accept students of both sexes. Each of the approaches certainly has its advantages.

Preparation for admission to higher educational institutions: Starting in the fall of grade 11, each student works with a higher education adviser, individually selecting programs for subsequent admission and determining the stages of preparing documents and passing the necessary tests.

At the end of the 11th, first half of the 12th grade, students pass the exam - SAT, which is of two levels. The first - SAT I - includes verbal and mathematical parts, the second, more advanced and complex - SAT II - checks the knowledge of three subjects of choice from the proposed list. Most colleges require SAT I to be admitted, but most prestigious universities prefer SAT II
