What is the IDEA League and which universities are included in it?

IDEA League is an association of the best technical universities in Europe (like the Ivy League only with a technical bias). IDEA League was formed in 1999 to maintain a high level of science in European countries and accelerate scientific and technological progress in general. The universities of the league have joint educational projects: summer schools, exchange programs and grants. Also, students (mainly masters) and staff can work on joint scientific research, engineering developments, innovative projects and participate in scientific conferences.

Now the IDEA League has 5 universities: Delft University of Technology (Netherlands), ETH Zürich (Switzerland), RWTH Aachen University (Germany), Chalmers University of Technology (Sweden) and Politecnico di Milano (Italy). Previously, the league also included Imperial College London (UK) and ParisTech (France).
